J. Paul Sorbara

Mr. J. Paul Sorbara is a Canadian geologist with over 45 years experience, and the founder of Golden Goliath, in the minerals industry. He began his career conducting Caldera Reconnaissance Programs for Cominco Ltd in both British Columbia and the Sierra Madre Occidental range in Northern Mexico, spending a number of years in Cominco’s Guadalajara office. He has extensive experience in minerals exploration, evaluation and mining. He started his private Mexican exploration company, Minera Delta S.A. de C.V. which after eight years he took public as Golden Goliath Resources Ltd in 1996, focused on acquiring and exploring gold and silver properties in Ontario Canada. He has a wealth of experience in the mining sector and provides a guiding hand to the companies various activities.
Maki Petkovski
Chief Executive Officer – B.App. Sc. (Geology)
Mr. Maki Petkovski is an Australian geologist and senior executive in the resource industry with extensive experience across the Australasian and Middle East North African (MENA) regions. Beginning his career in the gold sector with Central Norseman Gold Corporation in Western Australia, he has since developed a strong technical background as both a geologist and a geophysicist. His notable career spans over 35 years in the international upstream resources industry, where he has held various managerial and senior technical roles with companies such as BP, Ampolex Ltd, Oil Search Ltd, Petsec Energy Ltd, Nex Metals Explorations Ltd, and Petko Resources Pty Ltd.
Ahmad Tamer
Chief Financial Officer - BCom, CA
Mr. Ahmad Tamer is an experienced accounting professional with over two decades of experience delivering financial solutions and business outcomes across private sector. A Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University, with extensive experience in accounting, financial services, project management, and business operations. His career includes roles with Clarence Financial Pty Ltd, Tamer & Associates Pty Ltd, and Nation Wide Logistics Pty Ltd. He brings strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver practical solutions that support business growth.
Jon Cole
Director, Chief Geologist - B.Sc Hons. Geology
Mr. Jon Cole is a British resources industry technical expert with over 40 years experience in the industry. Starting his career with the Les Mines Selbaie Copper/Gold Mine with BP Minerals in Canada. Followed by various projects globally, including the discovery, delineation and early development phases of resource projects. Jon has worked on various projects throughout the Middle East and North African (MENA) Region, Australasia, United Kingdom, PNG and South America. He has held various managerial and senior technical & commercial roles with companies such as BP, Ampolex Ltd and Oil Search Ltd.
Edward Sorbara
Non Executive Director – B. Com. and MBA. and PHD. (Hon)
Mr. Edward Sorbara is a successful businessman in Toronto and one of the principals of The Sorbara Group of Companies. The Sorbara Group of Companies is an integrated real estate development firm that oversees construction, investment, and property management. They manage and operate commercial, industrial, office, and retail properties, and also have an extensive residential apartment portfolio. They are an accomplished home builder, having already built multiple high-rise and low-rise developments throughout Ontario.
Frank Högel
Non Executive Director – M. Bus. Admin.
Mr. Frank Högel is a financier/investor with extensive international experience having the ability to analyze acquisition opportunities within resource companies. His background includes more than 26 years of asset wealth management and direct experience in the mining industry and a successful track record as a consultant and stock broker in London. He serves on the Board of Directors of numerous public companies and is a Member of the Advisory Board of Concept Capital Management Ltd. He has extensive senior management experience in a range of resource companies including Nicola Mining Inc, Golden Goliath Resources Ltd, Lake Victoria Gold Ltd, Avrupa Minerals Ltd.
